The Fiberdays event is Germany’s leading exhibition for fibre optics. It is organized annually by BREKO (Broadband Communication Association).
This year, Sipwise has collaborated with süc//dacor – a telecommunications company based in Coburg. Together, they presented themselves to the audience at RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden, Germany on March 27 and 28.
Sipwise’s solution meets süc//dacor’s expectations
Collaborating at the 2-day event showed the strong partnership between the two companies. This is a result of the German telecommunications company providing more than 10,000 of their customers with Sipwise C5 Softswitch since the first day of their cooperation.
Today, süc//dacor is the distribution partner for Sipwise in Germany.
“We are so satisfied with Sipwise’s solution that we decided to resell the whole product ourselves,” Uwe Meyer, CEO of süc//dacor, said. “We have implemented it, and it has been running in our data centre for more than five years now. Consequently, we can share our experience with our customers on how everything works, how it should be implemented, how it is billable and so on.”
Sipwise’s Class 5 Softswitch
Sipwise has developed the C5 Softswitch as an essential solution to transfer telephony into the future to be one step ahead.
In the earlier days, telephonists would answer calls and ask every caller who they would wish to speak with. After that, they would link the connection via cable in the telephone exchange. However, this is no longer done by telephonists but by software solutions. Sipwise jumped onto this and created an open source-based solution, which is now sold to carriers.
The Class 5 Softswitch is modular. By simply enabling various software modules that are already part of the initial deployment, the softswitch can be expanded. Not only it can be converted into a powerful cPBX platform, but it can also act as the termination platform for mobile SIP clients which can be deployed on 3G/4G/5G mobile phones.
As a result, the Sipwise C5 is a great choice for those service operators who want to step into the world of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC).
