You will be part of the Backend Software Team, responsible for implementing and integrating new features in our REST API backend.

The ideal candidate has the ability to quickly assess and mitigate possible code issues and bug reports. We are looking for a solution-driven and goal-oriented personality with 3-5 years’ background in the backend software development area.


    • Implement and integrate new features, apply design and performance optimisations in our REST API backend, and its related NGCP modules.
    • Develop and maintain our NGCP admin panel.
    • Maintain and improve our MariaDB database model and the related NGCP framework.
    • Maintain and improve our database related cluster scenarios.
    • Write validation tests and documentation for the implemented features.
    • Agile and Code Reviews driven development.
    • Interact with our QA and Operation departments.

    Experience with:

    • REST API backends (additional API backends, such as SOAP is a plus)
    • UI design MVC patterns
    • Perl Catalyst Framework and DBix
    • SQL and NoSQL DBs as well as understanding of the CAP theorem
    • Git and the code review driven development


    Good knowledge of:

    • programming languages Perl, C, Python
    • Linux OS
    • Familiarity with highly available and highly loaded server systems


    Bonus points:

    • Debian GNU/Linux, MariaDB
    • University degree in the IT field or relevant work experience
    • Ability to work autonomous and in a team
    • Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
    • Willingness to travel for deployments, conferences or fairs

    • We offer an attractive salary depending on your qualification and professional experience. Due to regulatory reasons we advise you that the collective agreement stipulates the fixed salary starting at EUR 2,825 gross/month for this position.
